Some of you who know me, know that I have been out of training for about a year now. I had surgery on my shoulder and they performed about 5 different procedures on it. Yeah, it was pretty nasty. During that time my shoulder would feel great during rehab and so I would try to go back to training just to find out it isn’t completely healed by tweaking it in some form. Well it feels great now and I have been getting back into training. I have been back at it for about 3 weeks now and I am excited. I want to get ready to have my next fight around September or October. As long as everything goes as planned and my shoulder holds up, there should be no problems making that happen.
At the moment the main thing I am focusing on during training is my cardio and my weight. I fight at 205lbs. so I usually walk around at about 213lbs to 215lbs. Since my surgery and not really being able to workout I have gained some weight and that is what I am trying to work at right now. I am at about 250lbs. I have already dropped 10 of the pounds in the past 2 weeks, so dropping it isn’t hard I just have to get in there everyday and hit it hard. I have been going about twice a day and working out my cardio for about 2 hours each time. Then a couple days a week I work my ground game and pads and bags with one of my trainer’s Big E.
Well that’s where I am at right about now with my comeback training.
